We held an exciting open pre-conference meeting, aimed at strengthening the professional foundation for good clinical practice and contributing to a national statement on the global cesarean section epidemic.
Andrea Solnes Miltenburg, leader of the working group, guided us through the program, with contributions by Prof. van den Akker (Leiden University, Netherlands) and Prof. Kristine Bærøe (UIO). Finally, there was a panel discussion led by Margit Steinholt (Norwegian Medical Association).
The seminar was engaging and provided a valuable platform for exchanging knowledge and perspectives across disciplines. Participants highlighted the importance of collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and policymakers in addressing the global cesarean section epidemic. The discussions were both inspiring and thought-provoking, fostering a shared commitment to improving clinical practice and ensuring that cesarean sections are performed based on correct medical indication. Overall, the event set a promising direction for continued national and international cooperation.
